cherry table for log cabin
cherry table for log cabinThis was a commissioned piece of furniture.  I don't recall if I was the one who cut and milled the tree, but I did everything else.
wainscot chair for Falstaff
wainscot chair for FalstaffThis chair was made from a single, but large, slab of red oak which I originally chainsawed from a fallen red oak.  I used a combination of power tools and hand tools to cut and shape the parts.  The front legs were turned on a lathe and the decorative carving done with chisels and mallet, just how such chairs were made centuries ago.   This one was actually made to be a stage prop, but I had the time available to make it as a real chair (compared to typical stage prop furniture).
